Blah blah blah....

In busy, crowded inner-city streets, confronting behaviour
by cyclists is making life hell for both pedestrians and motorists.

snip.....

Jenny Ward, Erskineville, July 16.

Why would anyone want to move to Erko and keep their car!? Erskineville for
****s sake!
This is the suburb that has the least amount of green-space per-person in
all of Australia!
And why are all these streets crowded? I only wish is was because of
cyclists. The roads in this old suburb were never meant for cars, they are
mostly not much wider than goat tracks. Even the fire brigade has been known
to sideswipe cars to get to calls because of all the selfish car owners who
leave them no other option.
It is an easy walking distance (within 1 km) of 4 train stations (on 2
diffeent lines) and goodness knows how many bus routes.
I bet she has the inner-city car mentality of insisting on parking right out
the front of her place too (as if she owns the parking rights).

Now please tell me this was some sort of troll.

Dave

Best of all, it can tow the boat, horse float, caravan and finally, if
you choose the dream, you too can travel all over Victoria in it and
even venture into the wilds of Australia.
Michael Coldham, president,
Four Wheel Drive Victoria, Greythorn

These would be the same 'compact' 4WDs capable of such miraculous
feats(?) would it???

Trivia. MC lives a few blocks away from me and is notorious in the area
for running red lights in his 4WTruck when 'nobody is a around'.
Even thinks it OK to drive thru the greythorn primary school crossing.

Letter has gone to the Age...

Looking forward to that veg

begin generalisation
Around here the mums drive their children to school in 4WDs because
it's not safe for them to walk or ride because of all the 4WDs near
the schools.
/generalisation

And they're not crappy little so called 'compact 4WDs' either. Big
things with names like Lexus GX470 and slightly smaller things with
names like Cayenne.

Ritcho

Ms Wards letter also appeared in that most reputable of papers - ie.
The Daily Telegraph...so make sure you send your brilliant reply to
them as well. I was thinking of replying myself, but don't think i
could improve on yours!

Ritch.

Don't you just love google? They'll let anyone (even an anonymous

coward)
post from their server...

WTF ? Has he done something wrong to deserve this mini-spray ? He
just posted a letter from a news paper and offered no remarks to label
him a coward ? Or have you two got a prior thing going and are just
looking for a bit of flaming and trolling ?

Ahh, I see you're also posting from google...

Ahh, I see you're not....

The papers don't select letters for their sense, lunacy is more
newsworthy.

Likewise, the Canberra Times is running the bikelanes are dangerous
letters.
