Default Flash floods and the Ron Kitching rides

Those with an eye on the news and the map will have noticed that flash
floods have hit the area through which the CTC rides are goign.

Anyone know of any route problems?

Haven't heard anything yet, but I'd have thought it will all be clear for
the weekend.

I've left a message for Matt at CTC, some roads in the area were
broken and I wonder what the effect in Helmsley will be ?

We were lucky that the Coast to Coast charity ride had been through
many of the places listed a few hours before.
having made it to Scarborough before the rain I genuinely felt sorry
for those who had to complete in the rain.

As the news says it was torrential.

Possibly a problem at Hawnby if the route goes over the partially swept away
bridge featured on the BBC website.

hm. Good point. Looking at the map, and trying to remember from when I
was last there, you would need to go over that bridge, so it just
depends how badly it's damaged.

Indeed, though it should be a solvable problem. HQ is in Ampleforth and
the main circuit is actually based around Hovimgham/Terrington (away
from the Moors)
