I am looking for a Trek 1000 or similar quality bike for my son. It will be
his first road bike.
Looking for about 58cm and NY/NJ area.

I see you're not having much luck with this. You might want to look
into one of Fuji's entry level road bikes - I see a lot of their "Ace"
and "Finest" models at our club rides.

Hi, I would've assumed that the Trek 1000 would be very easy to aquire
in the NY/NJ area? I see them all day long down here at dealer in the
dusty southwest. Price $449 brand new. Mark
