I'm a bit surprised she won, dangerous violations of design
standards for bicycle/pedestrian trails are so common.

I sure wouldn't trade paralysis for $2.5 million myself, but
maybe that will be enough of an award to make local governments
re-evaluate some of the hare-brained ideas used on bike paths
around the country.
