Default Achy ride

My riding partner and I finished a 93 mile ride yesterday. There were some
pretty good sized hills along the way and it took 6:40 to complete. Oh, and
I'm 47.

I'm planning to bike cross country in three years in a supported ride.
Question- can I expect to feel this dead at the end of each day or will my
body eventually get used to feeling beaten up on a daily basis?

Thanks
