taken the liberty to omit (delete) some newsgroup entries that you

having objected to my doing so. If ever I authored a post that I
cross-posted, I did so only to relevant newsgroups although I don't
recall having even done that. You cannot truthfully say the same. He

JimmyMac actually is fairly knowledgeable on Usenet and the various
newsgroups, But his technical knowledge does him no good. He lacks the sense
to get a feel for a group. He thinks all groups are the same (just different
topics), but they all differ from one another in many other ways, even if
ever so slightly. And they change over time too. It all depends on who the
core members of a group are and how active they are.

For instance, if Mr. Vandeman no longer posts to these newsgroups, that will
severely change the culture of these groups. I will notice it immediately,
but JimmyMac will not. It is all the same to him since he thinks all that
matters is the topic. Actually, the topics are unimportant. What matters are
the members and their style of relating to one another. Sociology 101.

What most folks want is a chat room, not a newsgroup. They want to have
friendly conversations so they can feel good about themselves. All of that
is anathema to me. I want disputation, the more bitter the better.
Newsgroups were made for my type of person. JimmyMac, like most of the rest
of you, would be better off in a chat room where you just stroke one
another's delicate egos.

Time for you to get lost since you cannot outlast me. I have several hours
every day to devote to your miserable character. How your wife can puts up

The one type of person who can ruin any newsgroup is a stalker like
JimmyMac. Note how posts to these groups have fallen off as of late. Others
fear to be similarly stalked by this nincompoop, but I relish the
opportunity to teach this jackass that stalking is a waste.

He values his good name, but I don't value my good name at all. Because of
that fact alone, I have an advantage on him which he can never make up.
JImmyMac will soon become Jim McNamara. I should stalk him, but then I would
