I have to disagree.
The cyclist clearly knew the driver and did a double take when he realised who it was he was cycling past.
It looks like a personal vendetta or a gang related feud.

It reminds me of this case, when the mad driver was a nutcase butcher and had a picture of himself armed with a meat cleaver on social media.

The driver should have been charged with Assault With a Deadly Weapon and at a minimum banned from driving for life. 10 years in prison would send the appropriate message that cars cannot be used as weapons no matter how much 'Rude Tax' you think you pay.

The cyclist victim of the cowardly hit and run has left the court a free man!
Drinks all round, well done that judge. :-)

QUOTE:
A cyclist thug who pulled out a huge 'zombie knife' and began smashing a
car window in a terrifying road rage attack was today spared jail,
sparking fury.

Shocking dashcam footage showed Joshua Gardner, 18, brandishing the
enormous blade on a busy south London road before repeatedly slashing at
the car and threatening its 19-year-old driver, who got out and ran away.

But an Old Bailey judge told Gardner he would only be given a suspended
sentence because he was wielding the knife after a ten-day kidnap ordeal
in which he was held at gunpoint.
ENDQUOTE

QUOTE 2:
The decision sparked fury, with serving Greater Manchester Police
officer 'Sgt K' tweeting that he had been left 'speechless'.
ENDQUOTE

A (two year) suspended sentence for attacking someone (or making the
attempt as best he could) with an offensive weapon like that? Even if
the intended victim *was* a drug dealer who had kidnapped the assailant
on a previous occasion, we don't have capital punishment fordrug-dealing
(though maybe we ought to).

The world has gone mad. This is absolutely not a laughing matter. It
could be your turn next time if he doesn't like the look of you. Or one
of your children, maybe.

Have you not seen the video?

Or read the nonsensical "argument" put forward by the OP?

Jester, to his credit, got it right immediately. The actions seen in the
video did not support the "traffic incident" assertions of the OP. This
was a chance encounter between people who were already enemies.

But there was a bicycle and a cyclist involved, as well as a completely
incorrect summary of the incident by a cyclist here.

I'm inclined to tentatively agree with that in a strict sense.

However, replies to the (irrelevant) OP are not irrelevant, for obvious
reasons.

You think John Sainsbury should be executed for selling water, sugar and caffeine to the public?
