Hi
Bought an Orbea bike last July;since then the chain has come off on three separate occasions and the gears are just not right can anyone throw any light on this..keep it straightforward if poss,please thanks Maureen |

Sheldon Brown probably has something. |

Have you talked to them? Most bike shops would adjust this for you as part of the deal. If you bought it used, or online, then you are sort of "on your own." From your wording above, I take it that you don't feel very technically qualified. These things can seem mysterious and puzzling to a total beginner, so I suggest you take it to a bike shop, or find a friend who knows about bikes. |

If this is your first experience with indexed gears, remember that you are likely to lose the chain if you shift with both the front and rear at the same time. These gears have less chain tension than older friction systems and just because its possible to shift both at once doesn't mean its recommended. 2. Assuming you've had the bike in the shop once already to look at the problem, I'd say that you need a bike shop replacement.
