Road users in being polite to each other shocka! Polite? You think it's polite for that person to make _me_ wait to pull out - me who pays proper road tax and everything - just so that some free-loading git on a bike doesn't have to use their brakes? So you're advocating one road user to just pull out, forcing another road user to take evasive action in order to accomodate them? Which particular edition of the highway code are you citing as evidence? |

I've just started cycling regularly (being one of the aforementioned 30-somethings who's worried about getting a bit fat) and I wonder if you can give me any idea of how long it will be before I become an utterly humourless git. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie ****. |

It depends on the cycle. Unicyclists and 'bent riders seem to spend their whole lives grinning inanely, I don't think they eve lose that. Folder riders usually have a smirk on their faces, though it's usually of smug satisfaction rather than humour. Tandem stokers find life pretty funny. Colin |

About 5 ******s pulling out in front of you/cutting you up/chucking something at you as they pass. Maybe a month?
