Default URCM - There is a new RFD on UNNC about uk.rec.cycling.moderated

For those of you who don't go there often, or may have otherwise have
missed it, and are interested in the future of URCM, there is an RFD
titled "RFD: Amend charter of uk.rec.cycling.moderated" being discussed
in uk.net.news.config at the moment.

What, again? Some people are obsessed.

I can't believe for a moment that Simon Brooke thinks that useless,
completely-in-the-wrong-direction RFD is going to pass a CFV in a
month of Sundays. Presumably it's actually just a way of decoying
from the (hopefully) forthcoming "real RFD"...perhaps he thinks people
will have "RFD fatigue" by the time it comes along. But I'm sure
people aren't so easily fooled (though it's no surprise to see a
"Jacksonite" arrogantly thinking otherwise).

Anyway I much prefer Steve Firth's RFD.

Well don't prevaricate, man - are you for it against it?

Would anyone care to precis it in a couple of sentences, and perhaps give
some insight into the furiously whirling cogs of politics and paranoia
that have led to it?

Anyway I much prefer Steve Firth's RFD.

I suppose it's too much to hope that RFD stands for Request For Deletion,
isn't it?
