It doesn't even say why they were doing it! Beckham's car should simply have continued to drive at about 3 or 4 mph. Any idiot getting in the way gets squashed. Why did they need a few hundred cyclists anyway? They just needed a few of the likes of Simon to cycle in the middle of the lane. -- The world's largest fruit are giant pumpkins. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their lives, certainly on a regular basis." |

As Anchor Lee pointed out at the time - all that they were doing was trying to get home for their tea - and they all just happened to live north of the Thames. It was certainly not a protest of any sort. (For the uk.legal people : Anchor Lee is a legal expert (actually a Barista) who frequents URC) |

They get pretty much everything their own way against evil drivers, yet they still continue to protest and make out that they're unfairly treated. It seems that they will never be grateful for the concessions that society makes to them, so we should stop making those concessions. |

Is that really what he said?! Ha ha! I'd love to see him try to weasel his way out of this one. More likely he just won't dare to reply. |
