wanted: SIDI style "retro" touring shoes 44 (10.5)
I'm looking for some black leather or fake leather touring shoes that
are not clipless compatible, they should simply have some rubber on the bottom for walking and riding in toe clips. Rivendell used to sell something like this by SIDI. I wear a US 10.5 and generally wear SIDI's from 44-45, so somewhere in that range would be great. My foot is a EE and I'm not a huge fan of Carnacs, so that's why I would prefer the SIDI. thanks. Mark, I think that Rivendell gets these in intermittently. Try emailing them
about it. Sidi still makes these shoes. "Mark Beattie" wrote in message om... You need at least a size 46 in lorica Sidi Touring shoes. I just sold a pair
of 45 in leather, and I own and use 45 in Lorica and they fit my size 10 foot. Lorica version ran bigger than leather. Rivendell told me that they'd never do shoes again. Puma cycling shoes I just learned are for fashion only. Otherwise they'd be something to consider. If you find a sourse for the Sidis let me know. Maybe contact importer Veltec? I contacted Veltec and was told the SIDI "retro" Touring shoes are no
longer being produced. Rivendell told me that same story, and then I learned the bit about them running small. I didn't realize though there was a discrepancy between the sizing of the Lorica vs. the leather. Has anyone else had experience with these shoes, any ideas on sources for them? Mark Beattie |
