What on Earth was Chris Hoy wearing on his head this weekend, and can it
possibly be UCI-legal? Supplementary question: if it is legal, where does one get one? -- (Simon Brooke) http://www.jasmine.org.uk/~simon/ ;; When your hammer is C++, everything begins to look like a thumb. |

Supplementary question: if it is legal, where does one get one? It's a Casco Warp II. It looked ridiclous. However, I did wonder if I was a great cyclist, maybe I could wear what I wanted? |

For those of us that did not see it, any links? I tried, but didn't find any - however Phil Cook correctly identified it, he http://www.dotbike.com/ProductsP1646.aspx?Track=FGL It doesn't look like a bike helmet, it looks much more like a skull cap. I don't suppose it's any better in a crash than any other helmet - except less likely to cause rotational injuries - but at least he didn't look like a total dork wearing it. -- (Simon Brooke) http://www.jasmine.org.uk/~simon/ [ This .sig subject to change without notice ] |

And sooooo much better than those long ugly pointy athings that stick two-feet up into the air like an alien antennae when the wearer contemplates the tarmac, while two feet behind the artic/coach/caravan they are tailgating. It looks more like the BMX stylee which has an in-built youngster cool-factor. It should be matt black tho' ;-) John B |
