If you are British it probably means Tourist Trophy - the motorcycle
races held on the Isle of Man each year since 1907.

If you're a British cyclist, you'd probably think it meant "Time
Trial", a flourishing alternative or complement to Cycling Road
Racing. See:

http://www.ctt.org.uk/

Currently all events have been cancelled until at least the end of
this month due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

It is odd that anyone that rides a bicycle no matter how old, rusty and out of date, is sure that he can tell you about professional racing despite never having even read about the Tour de France or the World Championships.

It does make sense to respect the experts.

Such as you no doubt. I pity your poor students. You probably have a lifetime of students who have risen through the ranks of dishwashers.

Well, given your attainments - unemployed, can't find a job, can't
afford groceries, etc. I'd have to say that dish washing is probably a
position far above your abilities.

I mean, if you were capable, you could, probably, get a job.
