Another Criminal Mountain Biker

17 October 2010 Last updated at 10:22 ET Armed raider threatened cashier at Essex newsagents A man armed with a kitchen knife took an undisclosed amount of cash in £10 and £20 notes in a robbery at a newsagents in Essex on Saturday night. The raider fled on a mountain bike after threatening a cashier at Kaydons in Hobleythick Lane in Westcliff. The woman, aged in her 40s and from Southend, handed over the money and the man left the store. He is described as white, 6ft tall, slim, aged between 21 and 40, wearing a blue coat with a fur trimmed hood. He had the hood up and also wore blue jeans, a yellow scarf and gloves. Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

Not a mountain biker, just somebody riding a BSO that kinda looks like a mountain bike that can be easily dumped and replaced, the BSO having capabilities that allow for quick escape from a crime scene.
