It's certainly possible; as has been regularly
noted in conversations with Doug, some people
do drive cars AND cycle.

Easier said than done when you have a pushchair and two under-10's with
you.

And there I was thinking that you should keep the crossing clear in
queuing traffic. Very easy to do that by not moving forwards until
you can see that there is space on the other side.

Indeed. I'm sure JMS would advocate their compulsory use around town on a
Saturday night, lest one get involved in a fracas.
