..... or at least bail awaiting appeal.

I wonder what you need to do, and how many times you need to do it, to
loose the right to drive a car for good?

"charges of recklessly causing serious injury, unlicensed driving and
driving an unregistered car."

Many people who lose licences for a long period don't give a **** and
drive anyway.

Because driving is essential unless you live in certain expensive
areas of a capital city.

Plus of course those who behave as this man did don't see that *any*
rules apply to them or why they should not do just as they wish.

That is a problem.

I'm happy because this dangerous motorist will see the inside of a jail,
unlike Eugene McGee who got just a slap on the wrist for the hit-and-run
manslaughter of Ian Humphrey.

Well, he's currently out of jail, pending appeal, so don't get your
hopes up. There'll probably be some sob story about how he can't run
his business if he can't drive.
