I'm not sure 'muni' is the best term for anything that a coker can
ride.

You must have never seen Brian Mackenzie ride his Coker Muni

24"s are the most popular for muni, but like pdc said, it depends on the
terrain.

I have a 24", and I've used it for everything from smooth fireroads to
twisty singletrack and rocky downhills. It's pretty good for
everything, the only drawback is that the small wheel size means speed
is limited, especially when using longer cranks. Riders who want speed
from their munis (e.g. 24 hour racers) usually use cokers or 29ers.

Going by your location, a 26" might be a good size to get. I doubt
you'll be riding too many rocky downhills and even if you do a 26" will
still be ok if you are good enough. My muni is great but if I was
getting a muni now for all-round riding I think I'd go for a 26".

So if you're talking 50/50 uphill and downhill with rocky, technical
sections and very little flat..... the 24" is better?

It's certainly the most popular for that kind of riding.

How many of you voted 24" simply because that's the only unicycle you've
got?

It depends the terrain. And whether you want want to go fast or
whether you want to ride everything.

I'm currently using 29" for XC, but will probably switch over to my
26"x2.6" because I think it will be faster on most of the trails I ride
due to the suspension effect of a larger tyre. But the UDC boys are
telling me to get a bigger 29"x2.5" tyre, which would probably work
better. My Diet Coker is surprisingly nimble for off-road stuff too,
great for fast singletrack.

Ken

Disc: have not voted as it depends on the terrain.
