Wiggo getting "blind drunk" after TT gold
From the article:
--------------------------------- LONDON—When Lance Armstrong was still Lance Armstrong, he enjoyed a drink.. Ice cream too, once in a while. But during his final preparations for the only race he cared about, the Tour de France, Armstrong would enter a period his team called ‘Elevated Monk Status.’ Armstrong measured each calorie that went into his body. He would weigh out a single chip at the end of a day – one paltry chip – as a treat. After he signed a deal to endorse a beer brand, he was asked to continue drinking into his Tour preparations. Just a bit. After running the numbers, his team told the beer brand to stuff it. Armstrong would drink once the race was won. The new, beardy face of world cycling, Bradley Wiggins, lives the other way.. Wiggins made himself a hero on the streets of London Wednesday afternoon during his winning time trial race. He made himself a legend on Wednesday night. Wiggins went on an epic bender, live-Tweeting it the whole way. “What a day. Blind drunk at the minute,” he told his 400,000 followers. Then he sent them the wobbly pictures to prove it. ----------------------------------- Read it at http://www.thestar.com/sports/london...ng-blind-drunk or http://tinyurl.com/cgmm28v J. Spaceman |
