Default Merckx Alu Cross

Hi,

A friend of mine is seriously interested in a Alu Cross.

Can ayone tell if it has a "normal" headset or does it also have an
integrated headset?

Any experience with the frame?

TIA! Derk

Hi, I'm looking at this very model in an LBS catalogue from 2005 and
the headset is integrated. In the corresponding 2004 catalogue, the
headset is *"normal"*. Sorry, I have no experience of riding the frame,
though I know one rider with one, who likes it.

Sold a few-conventioal 1 1/8inch HS, nice 'true' cross frame, No bottle
bosses or eylets, taller main triangle for good 'shouldering'. A
bargain at $999 for frame and fork, aluminum.

I see Merckx' frames are far more expensive overseas. Here they cost around
650 Euro's. I recommended him to buy a Merckx. This year's colour scheme is
beautiful too!

Thanks, Derk

If your friend is a big guy...Hopmans lists a 64cm 2003 Eddy Merckx Cross
fitted with Campagnolo Veloce for 695 euros.
