wobble on fast curve?
If you suffer a violent shimmy on a descent with your hands on the bars, how could the back wheel not be involved? I have had shimmys where the rear wheel feels like it is skipping around, but was too engaged in staying upright to take the time to look behind. I'm convinced that the sort of shimmy you experienced is different from that described in the faq. My own feeling is that these events are closer to what people who study motorcycle dynamics call weave. LGF |

wobble on fast curve?

Okay, got it. Still, I find the whole concept of hands-on-the-bars shimmy to be dubious, as I can't remember ever experiencing it myself and I've done plenty of descending while cold and tired. I'll have to take y'alls' word for it that this really happens. Robert Are you a dwarf? Dwarfs don't get shimmys. 'Shimmy' was supposed to be dwarf eight. Dopey's cousin. Went all crazy after bombing the audition, turned up in Mexico City near-catatonic on benzedrine and alcohol. I saw that on E. |
