Not only are Nashbar spamming this newsgroup they are also hitting

Yahoo
mailing lists.

I don't suppose anyone from Nashbar will actually bother to read

this, but
take note that because you indulge in this sort of behaviour I will

NEVER
buy anything from Nashbar.

I appreciate the code. I am on the Nashbar mailing list and I

rarely
get a coupon code. Anything that save me money I like.

No need to wait for someone to post it on the board. Just check
www.currentcodes.com.

I don't like spammers, but seeing as how it was 15% off, and I have been
wanting to buy my first jersey, I took advantage of the deal.

Curious...
I see tons of Praise the Lord, anti-chris, psycho-political mumbo jumbo
nonsense SPAM on these NG's all the time...
And a Nashbar coupon announcement seemed to generate more response than
those?

Sheesh... as much money that we blow each season on bike gear... any
savings is appreciated.
And as near as I can tell... Nashbar, Supergo, and Performance might all
be the same outfit anyway

I dunno, the coupon code is useful.

I find people pimping their ebay auctions here to be much more
offensive than a coupon for a discount on something that is actually
for sale at a stated price.

Performance bought Supergo last winter.

Same company bought nashbar. Look in the bikes section:

Scattante is the SuperGo house brand.

The way I heard it, Performance bought Supergo and Nashbar.

So, if I can get 15% off, that isn't too horrible.

www.spam.abuse.net and others define spam as: "flooding the Internet with
many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on
people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial
advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or
quasi-legal services." "Cancellable Usenet spam is a single message sent to
20 or more Usenet newsgroups. (Through long experience, Usenet users have
found that any message posted to so many newsgroups is often not relevant to
most or all of them.)"

Using that definition how is this considered spam? It's definitely related
to the ng. Heck the whole THREE ngs it's posted to are all relevant! The
message isn't being "forced" on you because you can just skip over it. This
is a f/s ng and this is offering a discount on items f/s. If it's spam
because it's "unwanted" email/posting then wouldn't truly any post you're
not interested in be considered spam?

Not being a pest just curious.
