Riding glasses secret revealed
I always wear glasses while riding to keep bugs out of my eyes. If
someone came up with a way to keep me from inhaling bugs then I'd be all set. The best source of glasses I've found is Home Depot. I've got a half dozen pairs of glasses for different lighting conditions, all about $8 each. They're sold as safety glasses. Cheap sunglasses rule! |

I've used Home Depot sunglasses since 2001 and never had a headache or any other problem. You're fooling yourself that spending a lot of money is somehow better for you. I use what works. Pat in TX |

You have no idea what I use or what I have tried or how much they have cost.

Easier said than done, I know. It's something I also have to work on during pollen season in the spring. Another thing I've started doing recently is wearing a skull cap type thing under my helmet to keep the wasps and bees from stinging. The best source of glasses I've found is Home Depot. I've got a half dozen pairs of glasses for different lighting conditions, all about $8 each. They're sold as safety glasses. Cheap sunglasses rule! Agreed. |

wrote: Even expensively priced cheap sunglasses cause headaches. Cheap sunglasses are cheap sunglasses. {snip prior message} Of course they are! ; ) But the best part is that if you pay over thirty dollars for sunglasses, those will make you smarter! I paid ninety dollars for sunglasses and am not only smarter, but my head feels so much better than when I don't have them on - Just the opposite of headaches. My educated friends say that's just placebo (expectancy) effect, but what do they know?? Fools. Sunglasses are to a large degree, along with eyeglass frames (invariably overpriced many times beyond cost of manufacture), a continual racket, one that sucks in many people. I have many pairs, from dollar store ones (poor quality mostly and into the trash can), to several Ray Ban G-15 glass lenses (nice) and my favorites, polarized polycarbonate fishing glasses from WalMart, ten dollars. Have never found better ones than these. No headaches with any of them though. Joe |
