VAR tyre lever
Anyone know of a source of VAR tyre levers? The CTC shop doesn't
carry them anymore, and Geoffry Butler's online arm don't seem to either (they used to be the CTC shopkeepers). A friend lent me his on Sunday's ride as I struggled to put a 406 x 20 onto the front of the Pino, having straightened out the hook on my lovely Park Tools blue levers. Tim |

VAR tyre lever
I've broken a few of them.
If you push the tyre that's already on into the middle of the rim well, you won't need them. In fact if you do this meticulously, you usually won't even need levers. Especially if you completely deflate the tube first. |

VAR tyre lever
Well I haven't fitted every kind of tyre to every kind of rim, but I've
fitted dozens of kinds of tyres to numerous rims and don't often resort to levers if I'm really patient. I might add that I have very strong hands. |

I'll stick to my VAR lever thanks. -- Steph Peters Chorlton Wanderers Cycling Group Monthly slow and easy rides from South Manchester http://www.sandbenders.demon.co.uk/cycling/chwan.htm |
