Super multitool, too, cheap at the place Scharfie buys his blinkies
Super multitool, too, cheap at the place Scharfie buys his blinkies:
http://www.fixfind.com/product/AJ-CH...rry-Pouch.html This is the same tool, less one removable flat open wrench that doubles as a second tyre lever, that comes on quite a few Eurobikes. I got one, very nicely finished and painted and logoed but no doubt the same steel, with my Kranich, and another one was given to me by my Gazelle dealer. In that style they're about three or four times as expensive, which makes Scharfie's dealer a standup bargain guy. I don't use them because they're a bit hefty and I don't like folding multitools much. I use Topeak's ToolBar instead, a tiny, lightweight thing with bits that fit inside, overpriced like all Topeak gear, but you have to pay because there's else like it on the market. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...x?ModelID=2926 I see the price has fallen by a third since I bought mine. Maybe I should keep quiet about fashion victims rushing in to pay a premium for the latest, greatest bicycle gear... André Jute |

I'm not into the bleeding edge - far from it - and appreciate a bargain as much as the next guy; but in my case I like a bargain that allows me step up to the highest level of quality that I couldn't otherwise. It is stupid to simply try and keep up with (or surpass) the Jones's, but excellence in what one enjoys is truly priceless. |
