Speedplay lube
I went to lube the speedplay with some Pedros waterproof lube but the phillips
screw at the end is stripped so that it won't release. Any solution? |

Try using a #0 phillips or #1 Reed & Prince (simialr to a Phillips) screwdriver. Take the pedal off the bike, stand the pedal on it's end so you can exert plenty of pressure while s-l-o-w-l-y turning the screwdriver. |

I think it is a poor design, they Loctite the scew in place. To release the Loctite, SpeedPlay recomends heating the screw head with a soldering iron. ummm. Mine are also stripped and I'm sending them into SpeedPlay, not what you wanted to hear. Lucky my LBS has a loaner pair for me. Monty "Jee Doy" wrote in message ... jeedoy- I went to lube the speedplay with some Pedros waterproof lube but the
phillips screw at the end is stripped so that it won't release. Any solution? BRBR The screw that holds the 'puck' on? Not a phillips but a torx...6 sided thing, either a t-15 or 20 size.
