I am trying to plan a trip where I will fly to Washington, D.C. and then
catch an Amtrak to Pittsburgh before starting south on the Greater
Allegheny Passageway. I need some info on how to get from the Amtrak
station to the trail going toward McKeesport.

Look at http://shaw-weil.com/linkup/logistics.htm It shows how to get to a
bus (56c) near the Pittsburk Amtrak station, that goes to McKeesport
Pat- I sent you an email with this info, but your email address bounced.

Why not just fly to pittsburg. You can buy round trip airline tickets
with different towns and the extra would surely be less than the
amtrak & bus fees.

Since the National Geographic Adventurer article last year on this,
I'm wanting to go too.

Well, it's because one of our group is an avid train fan. I got him to
agree to fly to D.C. as long as he gets to ride Amtrak at least to
Pittsburgh.

sigh.

I know, I know.
