Hard physical work from dawn to dusk, without the aid of machines,
will burn enough calories. The first machines practitioners of the
Dolan Efficient Calorie Burning Programme will have to give up is the
bicycle and the tricycle, which are not inefficient enough: they burn
too few calories for the time and effort invested; machines, if
permitted at all, will have to be *much* less efficient than cycles.
