Default Just how worthless is ARBR?

I would like to propose that ARBR is the most worthless newsgroup that has

If one of us can find one, would you promise to leave here and go
there?

Was ARBR ever any good? Well, at one time in the long ago it was not too bad
provided you could overlook all the Bush bashing. By the time Ed Dolan the
Great had cleaned out this Augean stable there were damn few intelligent
souls left. It may be that Bryant Ball of BROL was right in that only
liberals will post to a newsgroup.

Speaking of Bryant, we have another one (Robert Bryant) who is the
publisher, editor and chief writer of a newsletter known as RCN (Recumbent
Cyclist News). I jettisoned my subscription to this newsletter some time ago
because it is without a doubt the most expensive publication that the world
has ever seen. It never did become a magazine, but remained forever a
scrappy newsletter full of typos. But all recumbent cyclists have more money
than brains which is why the publication continues to exist and why
recumbents continue to cost an arm and a leg.

This newsgroup ARBR badly needs to die. Why are we prolonging the agony of a
slow death? I urge Harry Brogan of Lincoln, Nebraska to stop posting
messages about such things as toothpaste. My God, we have truly approached
the nadir of our existence and are now wallowing in it like the swine that
we are.

Ed Dolan the Great - Minnesota

I rather doubt that the person or persons that you are referencing
would leave. Trolls are in it for their own satisfaction and nothing
else. I have discovered that certain trolls have been banned from
other areas for their postings.

I was, of course, being facetious. I know that the troll being
referred to (HEAD Dolan) has no intentions of leaving no matter how
often he threatens to do so for yet another FINAL time.

As for me, I do not quote or otherwise recognize these postings.
These trolls are on my "plonk" list and the only time I even see a
posting is when it is quoted.

Actually, this reminds me of the old C.B. radio days. When people
would hide behind a microphone and do similar things.

It's too bad because there are a lot of people out there that would
like to share information, ask questions, and just generally enjoy
things. People tire of getting nothing back but drivel. There ARE
other places to go to find out what one wants to know.
