front of hip pain
I recently started riding again (150-200miles/week) after a long
layoff (20 years) and am experiencing some pain (after rides) in front of, and just below the hip. I have not been stretching. Anybody got any ideas on this and what to do. Right now, I just plan to ride thrrough it and hope it gets better in time. |

I have not been stretching. Smoking gun?!? Anybody got any ideas on this and what to do. Right now, I just plan to ride thrrough it and hope it gets better in time. Stretch more and ease off a bit until pain goes away. Bill "but that's just me" S. |

Some call this the "secret weapon" for riding time trials. I'd try strengthening and stretching it. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...xor%22&spell=1 or http://tinyurl.com/59k6w |

OK, start a bit slower. 150 miles to 200 miles a week is a *lot* of miles to start with. You're probably either having a bit of tendinitis or bursitis in your hip. Also check your bike fit. |
