Isn't it interesting how the nutjobs always perceive that everyone else
is a nutjob?

Are nutjobs anything like blowjobs?

Dear MD;
A couple of my Ex-Apettes were Whackjobs, but not adverse to
giving Blowjobs to Nutjobs.
(Not to be confused w/Whacking off to the Book of Job, which;
((as every Ape knows)), is an entirely different Job in and of itself,
let us prey);

Does anybody else find this offer amusing?

I could go for this with Howard as comoderator as long as they both
have the ability to approve any post, but I'd rather keep the
responsibility on the individual. If you don't want to read it, then
don't. There are enough tools out there to limit the noise to whatever
you want. Personally I'm willing to live with the noise because since
Vern left, other than some CP meltdowns, it's been content oriented,
not just masturbating to personal abuse in public.

The very idea of anyone (least of all Tom) moderating this group is appalling
(sorry, I mean 'appaling') to me. How hard is it to skim through the headers and
"mark as read" the ones you don't find interesting? Or, shame of it all, use
killfiles? Or just leaving if it isn't to your taste? This stuff is pretty damn
basic. Pretty funny to see an attempt to Bill O'Reilly the group. I guess we had
some foreshadowing of how it would be when TK tried to keep people from
commenting on the passing of Keith Alexander.

remove YOUR SHOES to reply, ok?

My thought here was that between you and Tom we'd see everything
except maybe the Marty crap. I'm sure that anything Tom didn't ok you
would. Some of my other groups have been faced with the same thing, and
even under dedicated assault by D. Spencer Hines they've stayed
unmoderated, and there's nothing here even approaching that level.
Other groups I read have gone that route due to organized attacks and
complete disruption from hate groups. It's a tough call, but sometimes
necessary. I don't ever see it being needed here though.

This is why God created the killfile function in news readers. Use it.

If the insurance companies are correct, god's killfile could fill quite a
few hard disks.

rec.bicycles.racing used to be a great group but it has really run
downhill.

I'd be willing to moderate the group if you wouldn't mind a 2 day delay
over weekends. Or maybe someone else can act as co-moderator?

You have to form your own group then, usually an alt:

alt.bicycles.racing.moderated

Good luck in attracting traffic.

Going downhill is part of bike racing.

The problem is the 'running'. We need work on remounts. Then, again, I
was told that by a bargirl in Thailand.

At this point, I would vote NO because:

1. It is unusual for an unmoderated group to go moderated successfully.
2. There seems no faith in you as moderator.
3. There is an alternative moderated commercial list already.

Please can people use killfiles and not followup to trolls and OTs
other than to redirect, or fix slanders. Together, we can improve rbr.

I am troubled that net users are getting so bad at news. Not just rbr.

Optimistic best wishes,

Much too serious. I suggest you start drinking Old Grandad 114 proof
to check for ulcers. When you get one, Old Grandad will find it for
you.
