Default Lidl buy little

Finally made it to Lidl. Next time, I know to get there at 9am on the
day of the sale. There wasn't a whole lot left, and what there was
looked like a bomb-site; stuff everywhere, out of the packets.

I bought

1) The handlebar cooler-bag. It's pretty crappy, but it was only £3 and
it will come in handy for carrying a bottle of drink, some chocolate,
and my phobile moan.

2) A jersey. I had wanted an ordinary one, in tasteful red, grey, and
black, but they were sold out. So I got a vile-orange "mountain bike"
jersey. Not sure what makes it an MTB jersey, but it seems pretty nice.
Haven't worn it in anger, but it can't be any worse than cotton at
keeping me dry.

3) A coolmax t-shirt. XL, rather than XXL like the jersey, and a bit
too tight. I think I'll wait until I've lost some weight.

4) The jacket. Seems ok. Also XL, also a little small, but wearable.
Can't imagine it will keep any rain out, but as long as it keeps the
wind out, I'll be happy.

They were out of shorts and tights, though.

I've also been playing with Memory Map. Amongst other things, I found
out why my journey down to Nantgarw Road always seems harder than the
journey back, despite being downhill. It's actually uphill. I know it's
stupid, on reflection, but because it goes down the valley, I assumed it
was downhill. Of course, it's not on the valley floor, it's halfway up
the side, and isn't remotely constrained by the direction of the valley.
Duh.

I got a jacket- but a small one, and it is fine, in fact, I would say it is
brilliant, for the price. XL? I am over weight at 11st 10! I also thought
the coolmax socks for £1.49 were the bargain of the week!

I didn't get a jacket, but got some pairs of socks in the right sizes, and
three cycle computers .. 19 function, Wireless, Solar powered for £4.99 -
unbelievable .. for me and my kids bikes. They have about 10 left but only
in Silver, I think I got the last Black ones ..

The last jacket went out while I was walking in .. with a chap carrying
armsfull of cycling stuff, such as the briefcase panniers and bag tooolkits,
I think he had about 10 of each, which is either being a tad greedy, or he's
selling 'em off elsewhere ..

I've seen Tchibo's £4 sunglasses for sale on ebay for £5.

I can beat that. I wasn't sure which size of Tchibo's £4.99 gloves to
buy so I got both and used eBay to sell the ones that didn't. I got
£11.00 for them (plus £2.95 for p&p). Much better than getting £4.99
back form Tchibo if I'd sent them back.
