I hope this doesn't get buried too deep by the "Cities turning" thread
(which is now well over 400-700 posts in length, and is cross posted on _all_ the groups! :-3( ). I Live in the north-central reagion of South Carolina, halfway between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. and I am looking for people to ride with. I have tried the "local" bike club (http://rockhillbicycleclub.com), but this club is 90% "racers", and the few that do ride my speed don't ride far enough for my liking. I like to ride further than 40 miles, at an average speed of less than 16 MPH. Can anybody direct me to a club or even small group, preferably within 50 miles, that shares this preferance in riding? Any terrain, I don't mind hills (or mountains). Thanks :-3) - - "May you have the wind at your back. And a really low gear for the hills!" You could try looking through the RUSA Web site for randonneurs in your area, who may know more about what's around the http://www.rusa.org/members_search.html Hope this helps! |
