touring bike: 26" vs 700 vs 27" rim
the 26" rim compared to the 27" rim gives less BB clearance for curbs, dshat,
lesser armadilla- is this not a distinct disadvantage for 26"? |

i asked on the 'impression' given by print on a 27" BB clearance
advantage for cyclocross. given the same BB clearance 27" vs 26"-in touring-does moving the body upward on a 26" frame reduce straight on stability? increase or decrease frontal area and following that, modify the body position positively or negatively? and maybe reduce straight on hillclimbing power but increase not needed manuverability? geee, what to buy right? the design parameters for such a simple mechanism where 9 grams reduction in front tube weight gives a different feel! like sheldon brown's raving thorm brit special-well sure now there's an expert opinion but then how much did raving corm payum? nice to view the belted wonder: gives an upper line here. increases sanity |

A 26" wheeled bike will have a longer head tube (assuming the saddle and bars are in the same place as a 700c wheeled bike). |
