Isn't that why these guys rest in the first place, to recover ? Yeah, but since Wiggins wasn't expected to win it's OK for his body to react normally. And if Lance wanted to dope wouldn't he move it closer to the 50% limit? Instead he apparently is leaving his blood values completely normal. |

In addition WADA allows an 'OFF-score' limit of 133 and Armstrong is well below that at 112 and 108.4 on 6/16 and 6/17. Suspicious? Not really, unless you're a journalist looking for some muck to rake. Did the top riders dope? They all used a variety of performance enhancing techniques and substance, some legal, some not defined, and some probably not so legal. |

I want to know how the hell can he spend basically all of June in Aspen (2400+ meters) and show up in Monaco with a 42.8 hct? It makes no sense. Even if he started with a 48, he could lose a few points and still end the race at 45 (assuming the standard accepted loss of RBCs during the race). |

You know what you mean, but I don't and I read it twice. What effect would you expect from spending the month of June living in Aspen (8,000' in town-- well, just short of that) and doing training rides at/to 12,000' (and more)? Hct up or down? Then, what "doesn't make sense"? Thank you. --D-y |
