Default Levi Leipheimer

I have noticed that Discovery is not saying much about Levi. The press
is not saying much either. The only thing we hear is that Levi is the
team leader and others will be riding for him.

So this leads me to believe that the possiblilty of these scenarios.
Discovery is trying to downplay Levi's chances to lessen the chances
of fales hopes for the press. The other possibility is that Discovery
wants to give Levi a chance to ride into form. It's still hard to tell
at this point because short prologues are hard to predict unless you
have a very dominant rider like Hinault or Indurain. There was one
year the TDF had a very windy prologue and Indurain ripped the field
to shreds.

If Levi is hoping to ride into form, then this will probably prove to
be a difficult task. The flat stages have become much faster in the
past 10 years so it's harder for a rider to race into form. The other
factor is that there is more sprinter specialists so this makes the
flat stages harder. Since is no patron then we are going to see a lot
of attacks..I looking forward to see how Popyvich performs this year.
