It's probably more likely that they're planning on installing a convertible road surface, like they have at stadiums so they can have hockey one night and basketball the next. It might be some X-Games skateboard thing going in. I sure hope the contractor doing the work (probably doing the work at night and paying the overtime to get it done on his own penny) finishes in time. R |

They went so OTT with it that it was completely unbelievable. They should take lessons from velosnooze. At least the Contador/Chick-Fil-A sponsorship story was much better. If they'd published it on any other day and left off the last paragraph, you could almost believe it. Fred |

"They believe the cobbles are destined for the driveway of a fan of the Belgian Classics." Close, but not accurate. I am building a bike path. I am Spartacus! I am using the cobbles to build a castle, complete with dungeon, tower and moat. The end of the world is coming, in case you haven't heard, and there's no reason to believe that anyone will ever race up the Koppenberg ever again. Actually, true story, I know a one-legged guy that helped himself to a bunch of cobbles from under a bridge where they were redoing some streets. I just like the mental image of that. R |
