Man...when you see that you have to wonder what cycling would be today
if he hadn't walked (bought ?) out of that positive doping test in the
'99 TDF. I guess they couldn't afford another scandal after the 1998
Festina affair...on the other hand the Giro had the ball to stop
Pantani a few weeks earlier

It's like there is this weird prion-based brain disease you can contract.
You eat an infected piece of meat or maybe read a post with the prion-meme
secretly encoded in it (like in Snow Crash), and you get Obsessive
Compulsive Lance Disorder, OCLD. There is no cure for this brain-wasting
disease, except maybe dropping 6 tabs of blotter and locking yourself in a
sensory deprivation tank like the guy did to cure himself of cancer in
Spinrad's "Carcinoma Angels."

OCLD- that's good. Maybe this thread should be retitled "Another
pathetic post by Keith today...what if...he got a life".
Cancellara, the Olympic time trial champion drops out before the time
trial to avoid the embarrassment of a poor finish, and Armstrong is
pathetic?! I don't think so.

July will be here before you know it.

Did you know that the USCF (Chess) Executive Board
election also takes place in July? It'll be an eventful
month for some of us.

I'm already stocking up on Ritalin and Viagra so I can focus *and* maintain
a hard-on the entire month. It's going to be epic!

I thought Cancellara dropped out because Lance told him to? He came into
his dressing room and said "Kid, this ain't your night." And Cancellara
could have been somebody.

I (sad to say) belong to the USC(hess)F, and regarding Laff's chances
of election, I'd quote the old adage ending in "...Slim just left
town". The Usenet weirdness meter should definitely be pinned to the
max in July, though.

Tell us what you think "cycling would be today", Keith.

Is there a US Curling F too? I'm sure those dudes are on some kind of
"program" too. How many windmills can Laff@me tilt at simultaneously?
