If he had reportedly broken wind, would that have saved his arse?

Can we stand or sit out another helmet war thread?

I think you're just fishing. Please fish elsewhere, for everyone else sake.

The collapsing front wheel took the brunt of the energy. All racing
bikes must now come with gimpy front wheels...for the children.

If you want to be a net nanny **** off and go elsewhere. Or ignore this
thread. He hit his head and helmet broke. What do YOU think would have
happened had he hit his skull?

Built in crumple zone! Frames too should be subject to crash tests, to
ensure they dissipate energy by crumpling. Next, add accelerometers and
crush zones for detecting frontal impact, and an air bag that deploys
from the top of the head stem.

I will respond by not answering your question because I think you are
fishing - poorly I might add.

I fart in your general direction.

Managed that move last fall but rolled oer the bar, landing on my
shoulder and side not collarbone. The arm was tucked in aside the
impact area.
Thought I cracked a rib but not.
Rolling from jump over the horse games in HS gym class.
Way to go Sabatini !

James: Perhaps you're unaware that the UCI already has testing
requirements for both frames and wheels, and it's not just whether they
will fail, but the manner of the failure that they're paying attention
to.

He would have died like everybody used to do willy nilly back in the
70s while riding their turkey wing drop bars DUI style. Corpses
everywhere, the disco era was overrated.
