I think the motive for Hinault is that he won 5 Tours and never made
much money...certainly not millions. When he saw Lance come along and
make millions, it got him ****ed off. That's where his hatred comes
from.

Now the guy works a minimum wage job as a bouncer for the Tour podium
every year...and he has to sit by and watch as guys like Hincrapie bang
the podium models. When Hinault throws one of those hoodlums off the
podium, he's tapping into all that rage and sexual frustration.
