It was actually pretty spooky.


The NHL has rules forbidding goalie equipment
embodying designs intended to deceive. For
instance, contrasting colors that make it
appear the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 hole is
open when not open, or closed when not closed

Not that I think the mask indicated falls
under those rules.

made for special games and then auctions them for charity. Usually
they're less odd though.

I think a good design would be cubist.
The view from a side make the goalie
appear to be looking at you, and the
view from the front makes him appear
to be looking another direction.

Yeah.
But Price's mask was nearly like that. It made it look like Jacques
Plantes eyes were tracking the wrong place.
