This is great news, Serotta Bicycles makes the absolutely, very finest
handmade bicycle frames using the very, very best titanium and steel.
And don't forget carbon fiber. I wonder if Wal-mart is going to have
someone help us with the custom fit. I know they are custom made to the
cyclists specifications. This is great news. Good going Wal-Mart. I am
proud I bought my first bike from you.
All Good Things,
Maggie

After they put the decals all over it such as "Cantilever Brakes", "21
Speeds", "Alloy Frame", Shimano Equipped", and a gaudy metallic paint job,
there'll be no need for such a wonderful bike to fit the rider. Besides
when the fork is put on backwards, fit is relatively unimportant.

It was a joke, Maggie.

Kind of like saying that Bentley will now be offering a Korean made entry
level luxury car for 12K.

Walmart will remain a huge evil corporation, destroying the fabric of
small towns and sucking at the teat of the welfare system--you got it--it
costs governments money to have Walmarts in town, as they don't pay a
living wage. They also systematically discriminate against women, not good
stuff Maggie. Anti-labour to the point of brainwashing and hostility. Ick.

Some folks that are really poor shop there to get by, I ain't gonna
criticize that. Considering the amount of cash you're gonna
blow on your daughters wedding (hope it turns out grand ) you can afford
to shop elsewhere.

If you want big box shopping with a conscience, try Costco. They pay a
very fair living wage, offer great benefits, and generally have the
happiest employees in the trade with great retention. They also strongly
support the Democratic Party, something that's incredibly important to me.

I heard Neiman Marcus is going to start selling designer
bicycles.....so I will wait and buy my Serotta there. That's my
favorite place to shop. ;-)
I can pick up some Gucci and Prada while bike shopping. ;-)

I also read that they are going to drop the price of reception halls to
15 bucks a head. I think it might be at one of those good ole boy
lodges where they wear funny hats and discriminate against women, so I
am holding off booking the reception until I find out the truth.

I think those good ole boy lodges let women in when they pay for a
reception. Otherwise, they keep it secret and lock the women out. But,
with all the extreme sports I am participating in now, I don't have
much time to shop anyway. I have to keep practicing my jumps and
continue building my 40 ft. ramp.
All good things,
Maggie

Ah, that explains your /incredibly/ condescending attitude toward Maggie AND
/incredibly/ obvious lack of a sense of humor.

Pretty liberal EDITING OUT THE CONTEXT there, Lefty!

Almost had a fly in the ointment: a spider in the bed! Woke up with a
swollen (and ITCHY!) big toe -- big ol' red bump right next to the nail. 40
year old Calodryl lotion applied; still sore but sting is gone. (Will try
on mtb shoes in a while just to make sure it won't totally kill me.)

Never too old for new excuses, Wildlife Feeder Bill

PS: DIRT! Will be good to hit the DIRT again! Fat, soft tires; cuts 'n
bruises; dust in lungs, etc. DIRT!

PPS: Yes, my pink bottle of calomine (?) is really that old; took it
camping while in Scouts. Pack-rat much?

There is nothing in it to indicate that it was a joke, either in tone, nor
in emoticon. Maggie is a newcomer to cycling, so she may have taken a
facetious comment literally. No shame in that.

My post was not condescending to say the least, but highly informed and of
great value to the human race. It was fully of wisdom, chopped nuts, and
other fruits of the earth.

You are an overly sensitive pussilanimous douchebag.

[Adds Bill Sorenson to permanent killfile]

Ah, plonking, nothing's better.
