Default Eddy Merckx

I've heard some that his recent weight loss may be due to illness
rather than training - I hope not...

Regards!

I had not heard the rumor, but, he looks pretty sick here. At first I just
assumed it was a bad shot yet when I saw another recent photo he looked the
same.

I has been reported that Eddie has been on a major diet for most of this
year due to recent heart problems and stern advice from his physician. In
the photo in question, he looks rather tired as I would expect him to be at
the trade show. He might be ill, but AFAIK that has not been reported in
the press.

Mmm, the hair looks healthy enough. And what's he doing on an American
trade show 9000 km from home when he is seriously ill? Don't worry,
he'll be around for a while yet.

You'd think that people didn't know what you look like when you're old and
tired. Eddy just misses his frits and mayonaise.

He looks like someone who lost a lot of weight pretty fast.

You're right, the Cannibal is in training. He's going to take on Lance,
and match his 6th.

It is possible.
Once, when being complimented, he confirmed he had been riding more,
but said in a strange way he didn't want to go into the reasons for his
weight loss.
So, likely no weight loss as a direct consequence, but strongly
motivated by health reasons.

Since he named his son after Eddy some years ago, I doubt that.

Roger would rather avoid Moser, considering some Roubaix experiences as
teammates.
