The difference was brought home to me on Sunday.

Driving through Rochester, stopped at a red light (sorry,
should explain
that) & watched two people wheeling push bikes from the
direction of the
high street.

First one had the shorts, the lycra, the tarted up bike -
clearly a psycholist. Second one had jeans & a tee shirt.

First one cleared the corner, mounted the bike & rode off
along the pavement. *Second one wheeled his bike along the
road, past the barriers, then rode it along the road.

That's not fair. I wear jeans and tea shirt and I crash lights
and ride
on the pavement all the time. :-)

Then you are an undercover psycholist.

Oh my goodness, what a witty, clever person who thought up the
word 'psycholist'. My sides are still splitting having read it.
That's what I
so love about motorists; the way that they sit halfway over the
advanced
stop line, using their mobile phones, spitting hate at even
their own kind and fuming at cyclists running traffic lights
mainly to keep out of
the way of motorists. Then they set off on their merry pollution
generating way, usually well above the speed limit, and pretend
that they would be SO law abiding if they every lowered
themselves to riding
a bike (Not that most of the fat, out of condition *******s could
raise
their leg high enough to get on one).

Brian ;-)

Jealous? Save a bit harder then you will be able to afford a car.

Why in God's name would I want a car?

It would stop you looking silly by riding about on a child's toy,
whilst providing you with a very practical method of transport.
And stop you getting sore balls.

My bike is a very practical method of transport, thank you.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Tell us another one!

Brian obviously doesn't travel far or with anything more than a
rucksack.

25 miles each way to work, obviously does not value time too highly.

That must be over 2 hours?

Bicycles are for Children. *Like masturbation, something you should grow
out of.
There is something seriously sick and stunted about grown men who want
to ride a bike."

He goes by train everywhere, cycle to the station.

Hmmmmm..... Enjoy your heart attack, obesity and high blood pressure
with your air conditioned knackers.

Why do some people assume that drivers never do any exercise other than
driving?

Why do some people assume that cyclists do not contribute to the public
coffers through road tax?

The act of cycling contributes nothing to the taxation system as you
well know, in fact it's a drain on contributors seeing the cost of
specialsed dispensations like street hardware has to be borne by us
all.

Oh sorry, and there was me thinking that I had paid tax on my bike and
cycling gear and that I help to keep people in work by buying and
maintaining my bike.

You've paid Road Tax on your push-bike?

Are you sure?

GAFG. Most cyclists DO have a car (better than yours?), they just don't
feel the need to use it for every little journey.

Quite right. Although it just happens that I am one of the cyclists who
wouldn't have a car given to me at any price.

Not many people would have a car given to them.

You are almost certainly among the majority who would not.

Neither would I. After all Elvis died some years ago and neither of us
knew him anyway.

Another psycholist who believes cyling is the only form of exercise know
to mankind.

Breaking news. It isn't. It's not even a particularly good form of
exercise.

God, you are more of a prick than I thought! It is A form of exercise
and I am entitled to choose a type of exercise on whatever basis I wish.
For instance, I love my exercise to include things like running red
lights to **** off a pack of morons.

Wow! Look at the psycholist go! The psycholist's SOP is to descend into
insults when losing an argument.
This one must be a member of the Institute of Advanced Psycholists.
Wonder what's troubling him to make him so grumpy?

Or banned from driving?

Oh come on, you can guess better than that. I drive for a living, you moron.

I bet you're a slave to road rage, aren't you?

Because as cyclists they don't.

You don't as a pedestrian. Stop wearing out our pavements with your
shoes, you free loader!

Another psycholist who doesn't understand the term 'vehicle'.

Another driver who doesn't understand 'stop being a child killing
prick'. Do you touch up the corpses before the ambulance arrives?

that is the sort of thing best left to cyclists.
