Until it breaks. Carbon fiber has a tendency to fail without
warning.
OCLV = Oh Chit, Lookout(here's another)Victim

JD

Where did you hear this? I always thought if it was properly
designed
and
built it was very strong.

It's not a "heard" thing, it's a "been there, done that" thing.
Was
what you thought about CF brought on by personal experience, or
magazine hype?

JD

To be honest a little of both plus the experiences of friends. I
have
never
seen the sudden failures you speak of, I have crashed Carbon fiber
stuff
hard and still rode out on it... sure it breaks everything does.

Maybe you should ride more, or ride with those who ride more.

JD

Why are you attacking me this?

Check out the victicrat. You come in and start to spew myth based on
obvious limited experience, then get called on it and then cry foul.
Maybe we should throw a pity party for you now.

JD

Spew Myth? Limited experience? Why do you think that? I have been riding
for
years, Fine it is in a different local than you, but riding none the
less. A
different opinion from someone who rides different terrain than you. I
don't
need a "pity party" (not sure what that is)

Maybe you need to get out more.

JD

and maybe you should just shut the **** up, and go ****ing ride......jesus H
christ your a ****wad!!

appreciate all the replies to my orig post...

i guess my fear is going from a 23 lb hard trail to a 32 lb FS

thinking 27- 28 lbs FS sounds more like something all around as befits
my age (tho in the day I was a maximum shredder and if i lived back in
Cali,

How's the riding in Colombia?

Greg

dude, get over it..people from California still call it Cali...even if you
don't.

Not the ones who were born here. Only the crack dealers and pornstars who
come from other states call it Cali.

I can see it now, frightpig mincing into the Dew Drop Inn and asking
the rather large hod carriers present in a falsetto voice, "Which one
of your Georgi boys wants a date?" Black out. Fade into frightpig in
a hospital room, in traction and on life suport.

Yup you are right!! Lol...I still have that dam shifter!

Glad we got that settled. I was starting to wonder whether this was the
Chris G of "Chris G and Shaner" fame or not.

Is this the Chris G who wears a thong riding, or am I thinking of
someone else? I knew it wasn't Chris Glidden, whose quiet enjoying his
new baby. Last I heard, the thong wearing Chris hucking the urban
scene on a Cove. But hey, what do I know? I can't even keep track of
my own kids, let alone amb's.
