Default Rear mech hanger

My rear derauiller has dropped off! The rear mech hanger has snapped.

Looking on wiggle.co.uk there are lots of different types, how do I find
out which one I need?!

Google rear derailleur hangers and match your bikes year, model, ect. I
did it a few months ago. And was riding in a week. Good luck.

You get the one for a 2003 Carrera Banshee.

Call Carrera. In my case my hanger comes directly from the manufacturer
and it's shaped exactly for my frame model.

Well here's a picture of the dropout I've just taken off the bike:

http://mysite.orange.co.uk/ebaylowe/...es/dropout.jpg

and here is a site showing the shapes of dropouts available:

http://www.bikecare.co.uk/acc/rear_hangers.html

as far as I can tell it's either a "Type B" or a "RMM 234" or they could
just be the same type with a different name.

Carrera is Halfords own brand, isn't it? Try Halfords.

or
http://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...?category=3211 If I had
to guess, I'd say #25, but GT
is right, you need to contact Carrera directly. Actually, you'll prob
need to contact a dealer because Carrera
is prob just a name slapped on some manufacturer's bike shaped toy.

Like wot I said three hours earlier - Carrera is Halfords' own brand.
Therefore Halfords is the place to go.

For US readers, Halfords is a motoring accessories chain store, and some
branches sell bikes and bits. Bikes range from pink flowery kids bikes
to high end MTBs, depending on the branch, and some branches even have
staff that know one end of a bike from the other.
