Default Removing my Raceface DH Cranks...

I'm trying to remove these cranks but i'm having a bit of trouble.

It's using a splined bottom bracket, i've un done the 8mm bolt from the
crank arm and it's meant to just slide off but it's not moving at all!

I've been hitting it with a rubber mallet for ages but it's not doing a
thing. I've read the instructions but still no luck.

Am i missing something? Can someone help please!!

Cheers
nick

You need a crank removal tool, unless your crank is self extracting.

See attached link to Park Tools

Not meant to just slide off - you need a crank puller. I'm a fan of the
Park tools ones. you need the one with the black handle for splined cranks,
yes, they are different. If it really annoys you, you can get
self-extracting bolts, which pull the crank off as you loosen the crank
bolt, but the pullers are easy to use. Just make sure you remove the washer
that's in there if it doesn't come off with the bolt!
