Day 1: Master class in National Standard Instruction
Delivered by National Standard Instructor Training Providers
Live demonstration of on road training

Day 2: Conference

1. KEYNOTE PRESENTATION:

Government Minister will discuss HMG's Cycling initiatives (Invited)
Kevin Mayne – The CTC and Cycle Training

2. MARKETING:

Presentations on:
* Promoting training and cycling to external markets
* Internal marketing, Being a Champion, how to overcome obstacles

WORKSHOPS: marketing to key consumer groups

* Leisure and recreation
* Hard to reach groups

3. VOLUNTEER OR PROFESSIONAL? A DEBATE:

What is the impact of the National Standards on the status of
instructing?

Presentations on:
* Professionalisation of the industry;
* Voluntary but not amateur

4. WORKSHOPS:

Skills development workshops and practical advice on how to move
forward with National Standard cycle
training schemes.
* Case Study – Introducing National Standard training within a Road
Safety Department
* How to implement National Standard training within your Local
Authority
* Next Steps – becoming an instructor training provider
* School travel advisors and their role
* Health and Rehabilitation
