Strange that, a helmet saving your head from damage, someone had better tell
him it could not have happened.

This story is pure fiction. A youth in a Rangers top accompanied by
another youth in a green top.......?

Surely that can't be right?

Hasn't anyone told that cyclist and the reporter about rotational forces and
the danger to the spinal column? Or about risk compensation?

And in other news...

Surelt that can't be right?

Hasn't anyone told that congresswoman and the reporter about head
injury and the danger to the brain? Or about how only helmeted people
shot through the brain might survive?

And every night in my tiny spare bedroom
my bright red bike sleeps dreaming of tomorrow and me.
Drifting round London together. Smiling.

My understanding is that there is a scurrilous rumour doing the rounds in the
USA to the effect that if a Democrat politician is shot in the head it
doesn't do any permanent damage.

Totally scurrilous and disrespectful, as I'm sure you'll readily agree.

Mind you, it isn't clear what the Giffords case has to do with cycle helmets.
