I mean, Canada's are bad, but not that bad,

I took a 5 gallon vegetable oil tin and cleaned it, and
stuck a length of 1/4" copper tubing in a hole punched
in the top. A mash of fruit and cane sugar fermented
for a few days went in, then on top of the stove. I
got a quart of eye watering hooch. Not actually nasty
or poisonous, and quite potent. Since then I read up on
pot still, still head, slobber box, condenser, thumper
keg, singlings, and doublings. Distilling spirits is a
doddle. If you want to eliminate the headache, run it
through a Brita water filter five times (flush a new
(or used) filter with fresh water three times). Oh, and
if you want to up-market your hooch a soupçon of
vanilla will turn the rawest drain cleaner into 16 year
old elixir.
